    You introduce Milo

Tell us what would help and arrange an introduction together.

  2. 02

    They choose how to join

Your parent can use ordinary phone calls or WhatsApp. No new app to learn.

    Milo helps you follow through

Agree routines and permissions. Get short updates and requests when your help is needed.

A little reassurance.

How does Milo work?

You introduce Milo to your parent and choose what would help. With their agreement, Milo calls or chats on WhatsApp, helps with everyday tasks and sends you short updates. You set the routine, who to contact and when Milo should ask for help.

What does Milo do when my parent is home alone?

Milo can call at agreed times, offer a friendly conversation, give reminders and help with practical requests. You get an update after each interaction, with your parent’s agreement. Milo checks in through conversations; it cannot see what is happening at home or detect a fall.

What if my parent doesn’t answer?
1

Try again

Milo retries at the time agreed with your family.

2

Contact you

If there’s still no answer, Milo calls and messages you and flags the check-in for the agreed human response.

3

Follow your backup plan

If you’re unavailable, the next step is your accepted local contact or responder. A reply confirming they’re taking action is needed.

Before check-ins start, we agree who will respond and what happens if nobody is reachable. Human response coverage must be in place first.

What if neither I nor the backup contact responds?

The assigned operator follows the next agreed response route and escalates to the duty lead if a responder cannot attend. The case stays open until contact is confirmed or an appropriate service accepts the handover. We won’t activate check-ins without an agreed, available response plan.

What can Milo help with day to day?

Check-ins, company, reminders and help coordinating meals, groceries, transport, appointments, medicine refills and nearby activities. We’ll confirm which tasks and services are available when your family joins. Provider bookings and purchases need the right permissions and confirmation.

Does my parent need a new app?

No. They can speak to Milo on an ordinary phone call or use WhatsApp for messages, photos and voice notes. You receive updates on WhatsApp too.

Can Milo speak my parent’s language?

Tell us the language or dialect they’re most comfortable with. We’re testing Singapore English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil and the dialects families need. We’ll try a conversation together before confirming it works well for your parent.

Who pays for food, rides or other purchases?

Your family chooses the payer. You can approve each purchase or set agreed limits. Anything outside those permissions waits for approval. Milo doesn’t pay for purchases on your behalf.

What if my parent needs urgent help?

Milo is not an emergency service or a fall detector. Serious concerns follow the agreed emergency procedure while keeping you informed. A missed call alone doesn’t tell us whether there’s an emergency.

What if my parent wants to skip a call or stop?

They can say “not now”, choose another time or stop. Their choice matters. What Milo shares with you is agreed with them too.

A little more support, day to day.
